IS THE CLASS FOR BEGINNERS?

Yes. This class has been designed for beginners wanting to learn the basics. It is also a great way to refresh your skills or update your current design knowledge. We will work through a lot of short cuts and easy ways to achieve maximum effect, which will help you work efficiently, effectively and consistently.

IS THIS WORKSHOP SUITABLE FOR HIGH SCHOOL TEACHERS?

Yes.  Teachers at High School level would gain an updated skillset of the current programs being used across the design industry. You will then be up to date with program knowledge to inject back into your classes.
Private workshops are available on campus for high school academic staff, enquire within to find out more information.

DO I HAVE TO BRING MY OWN COMPUTER TO CLASS?

Yes. Each student is required to bring along your own Mac or PC computer for the class with Photoshop and InDesign Creative Cloud / CS6 installed. Ensure to remember your charger and a mouse too as it will be easier to work through the course.

DO I HAVE TO USE A MAC LAPTOP?

Not at all! We have both Mac and PC students and welcome them both. With PC, there are minor program differences such as short cuts used, but this won’t be a problem.

DO I NEED TO HAVE PHOTOSHOP AND INDESIGN TO ATTEND THE CLASS?

Yes, if you don’t already have a copy of the software, you can download a free 7 day trial of Adobe Creative Cloud, Photoshop and Indesign a few days before the class, to ensure that everything is working fine and you are ready to begin the day of the class.

DO I HAVE TO HAVE ANY DESIGN EXPERIENCE TO TAKE THIS CLASS?

Design Workshop Basic has been developed for  beginners. It is anticipated you will have basic computer knowledge across your Mac Laptop. Students with some basic knowledge will also benefit from the course work and will pick up new skills along the way. With no prior design knowledge required, you will feel comfortable learning how to manoeuvre around the basics in no time.

HOW LONG IS THE CLASS?

The class will begin at 10am and run through until 4.30pm.

WHAT DOES THE WORKSHOP INCLUDE?

You will learn the basics in Photoshop and Indesign, spend a day with an experienced designer and lecturer and get all your design questions answered. You will also take home a detailed step-by-step manual that covers everything you will learn throughout the day so you can refer back to your new skill set at any time! You will also receive lunch and afternoon refreshments and get to spend the day learning in a beautiful creative studio where practising designers, illustrators and photographers spend their days.

CAN I CHANGE MY SPOT?

Due to limited class sizes, transfer of class enrolment is not allowed once spot is purchased. Bookings are non-refundable.
